LCEC

On 8/1/2015. I authorized an ach payment of $136.20 to be processed on 8/10/2016. LCEC took the money out twice...Once on 8/10 and again on 8/12 leaving me a credit of $136.20 and a $2.94 balance in my checking account. I would receive no more income until 8/17 when my SS would be paid...they left me $2.94 for 17 days and no money for groceries, gas, or other necessities. I begged them to reverse the credit and they refused. They told me to contact my credit union which I did. The Credit sent me a form to sign and notarize to get the overpayment back from LCEC. I did this and the credit union reversed the payment back into my checking account.
Now LCEC has charged me a returned check fee of $25.00 for taking my money back...They refuse to removed the $25.00 fee saying that it was a returned payment...IT WAS NOT. IT WAS A RECOUPMENT OF THE OVERPAYMENT OF $136.20 WHICH THEY HAD NO RIGHT TO KEEP.
I needed this money badly and to be charged a returned check fee for nothing upsets me.
I will never have anything good to say about this company. They forced me to borrow money from a friend to buy groceries and gas for my car.
Shame on you LCEC for your inhuman response to my request for the overpayment and then charging me $25.00
